COVID-19 Protocols

You will be met at the entrance of each studio as your child enters.  They will be asked if they have any of the following symptoms & their temperature will be taken.  Your child must be wearing a mask unless they are exempt.  Masks will not be provided by ASD.

  • Fever
  • New onset of cough
  • Worsening chronic cough
  • Shortness of breath
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Sore throat
  • Difficulty swallowing
  • Decrease or loss of sense of taste or smell

Anyone with a fever or symptoms will not be allowed to enter.  Once entered, each dancer will sanitize their hands.  Dancers must enter studio with a mask and may take it off once in the teaching studio.  (When we get closer to September, we will all know what is required) Dancers must limit personal items brought into the studio and they must be kept 2 metres from others.  Proper sanitizing procedures will be followed inside the studio after each class.  If anyone becomes sick or has been in contact with someone that is sick, you must isolate for 14 days.  The dance school must be contacted so all others in your child's class can be contacted.

Only registered students & parent reps may enter the building and will maintain appropriate physical distance before and after their scheduled class time.  Parents/guardians will be advised to wait with students until the designated drop off time outside, and to meet their child outside the building after class at the designated time.

Participants ages 3-4 will be accompanied in class with a parent or guardian to ensure social distancing rules.

Planned Dance Classes for 2020 and 2021

We are making plans to hold dance classes beginning the Week of September 14, 2020 right through to May 2021.

As the year progresses and with the advice of our local health authority, we will decide if Term 2 will proceed as planned. For each Term, there will be a separate registration and payment. We will keep you advised on future terms as we move along. Safety of our Students and Staff is our number 1 priority.

This registration form is only for Term 1: September to October 2020.
