I felt EXTREMELY comfortable sending Sadie to the ASD camp (as well as both girls participating in the “make up” classes). I felt ASD went above and beyond the necessary precautions (checking temperatures before entering the building) and that’s why I have no problem signing them up for multiple classes this season.
I felt very comfortable sending my 7yr old to the ASD summer camp. Safety protocols were clear and consistent. I was very happy with the level of cleanliness and sanitization, and the policies you would expect were enforced: masks, sanitizer, COVID questionnaire. Tape on the floor made it very easy for kids to stay in their “boxes” for physical distancing.
On top of it all, Monica went above and beyond a lot of other recreational activities by taking and recording each child’s temperature before they entered the building.
I like that parents will not be allowed to congregate in the waiting room this fall. My youngest is 3 and starting creative dance, and I like that I will be attending class to help enforce physical distancing with her. She is comfortable with a mask, and her and I will both be wearing one in class.
Looking forward to the new season!! Leslie
The following protocols are put in place for the safety of our members & staff.
Participants arrive at the entrance in a mask with a parent, temperatures will be taken and the health questionnaire will be asked. Parents remain with the child until the child enters the waiting room. The participant removes outdoor footwear, uses hand sanitizer and enters the teaching studio. The mask will be removed and placed in a container (ziploc bag, paper bag or plastic container) Each studio has areas designated for each dancer to maintain the 2m distance. If using the washroom, they put their mask back on and then the washroom will be cleaned after each use. Participants are asked to limit what they bring to class, water bottle, mask & dance shoes.
